We are looking for a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our family clinic in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Our team is hiring a well-seasoned Family Nurse Practitioner with the experience (minimum 3 to 5 years in outpatient primary care practice), maturity and professionalism to be a solo-provider in this start-up practice

• This FNP will be able to function fairly independently, be patient and outcomes focused
• You'll be supported by a collaborating physician, LPN and administrative associate who will also serve as manager of the practice
• Practice hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 PM with no extended hours
• This will be a full scope primary care location to include but not limited to evaluation & management, preventive care, immunizations, and prescription management with a focus on quality and patient experience
• no after hours or on call
• The practice is open to patients of all ages - birth to geriatric
• Estimated average patients per day - 8-10 to start, 20-23 by third year
• Procedures to include well-woman exams, minor wound care
• Patients will be scheduled via call center, and some accommodation will be available for same day/walk in needs
• Some point of care testing in office such as A1c, flu, strep, covid

• EPIC EMR and MyChart for telehealth/evisits as needed
• Access to PharmD for medication consults, patient education, etc
