• POSITION CLASSIFICATION:  Staff Nurse - CMT or RMA
• SUPERVISED BY:  Administrator

• Administering medications Preparing and safely giving oral and topical medications to residents as prescribed by their physicians
• Recording medication administration Documenting all medications taken to ensure patient records are up to date
• Maintaining medication records Ordering, storing, and disposing of medications as needed, and ensuring proper storage and labeling
• Notifying staff Reporting adverse reactions to medications and changes in a resident's condition to the proper supervisor, and notifying licensed staff when a resident complains of pain
• Other responsibilities Taking and recording vital signs, answering resident call lights, anticipating resident needs, and helping residents with activities of daily life (ADLs), assisting with care of patient as needed.

• Have excellent communication and customer service skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and pass a background check and drug test.
• Current CPR certification
• PPD Test 
• Currently licensed to practice nursing and adminster medication in the state of Virginia
