Full-time| Day Shift | 8 hour-40 hours weekly

• POSITION CLASSIFICATION:  Contract
• SUPERVISED BY:  VP, Human Resources
• SIGN-ON BONUS!! $2,500 over 2 years 

• Counselors must have experience working with students between grades pre-K – 12.
• Must provide psychotherapeutic interventions combined with mental health treatment.
• Handle Treatment Plans
• Provide treatment and intervention services to PPS students exhibiting academic, and/or behavior problems.
• Provide services to strengthen family involvement and build a better working relationship with the school staff.
• Provide requested services for students to include, but not limited to, emotional, behavioral, anger management and socialization problems, on an as- needed basis to be determined by designated contract administrator(s), building principal, or designee.
• Must be capable of providing the following minimum services:

a. Social skills training groups

b. Refer psychological testing and diagnostic assessment provided by a licensed mental health professional

c. Crisis intervention

d. Individual, group and family counseling/therapy

e. Substance abuse education

f. Classroom and behavioral support

g. Communication and family-school partnerships

h. Crisis and threat assessment for students

• Master’s degree in a Human Services or related field
• Valid Driver’s License
• Acceptable DMV Record
